The Advance Adapters RubiCrawler replaces the factory 42RLE (automatic) transmission tailhousing on 2003-2011 Jeep Wranglers to offer an additional 2.72:1 low range reduction when needed. The 6-gear planetary reduction box is a direct bolt-in and fits between the transmission and factory transfer case (or Atlas Case) and includes vehicle specific shifters to allow an OEM style installation. Because the RubiCrawler is the same length as the origianl tailhousing, no additional modifications are required and the existing drive shafts can be retained*.

TJ/LJ Wrangler / Rubicon
For TJ and LJ applications, the RubiCrawler will bolt up to the factory NP231 or NP241OR transfer case, or an aftermarket transfer case like an Atlas 2 Speed. Custom shifters are included for an OEM style installation.

JK Wrangler / Rubicon For Jeep JK applications, the RubiCrawler bolts up to the factory transfer case, or an afetermarket transfer case like the Atlas Case. An electronic interface is included to work seamlessly with the factory engine computer and dash cluster. An optional heavy duty shift kit is also available as an upgrade.

*Aftermarket Atlas cases do require different drive stafts.


RubiCrawler Gear Ratios

Depending on which transfer case the RubiCrawler is mated to, the final crawl ratio can range from 5.44:1 all the way down to 13.60:1 with an aftermarket Atlas 2 speed transfer case. Please refer to the gear ratio table below for your gear ratios:

Advance Adapters RubiCrawler Warranty

The RubiCrawler is guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for one year. This warranty begins from the date the unit is shipped from Advance Adapters. We log all units with a serial number at time of shipping. The warranty is void (as determined by Advance Adapters, Inc.) by misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, installation and/or alterations to the product. Warranty will be voided if the proper transmission fluid levels are not maintained, if any transmission fluid other than ATF+4 is used or the product has not been properly installed and instructions have not been followed. Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the RubiCrawler as doing so will void the warranty. Please return the product as further described below. Advance Adapters reserves the right to repair or replace any product. All warranty claims should be directed to Filthy Motorsports immediately.

*Warranty Voided if the proper gear lubricants are not used and proper oil levels are not maintained, or the product has not been properly installed and the instructions have not been followed.
