Our Chromoly 1.25"-12TPI 1" Bore Heim Joints are heat and cryogenically treated for maximum harness, strength, durability, and lifespan. Their housings are machined from 4130 Chromoly while the balls are made of 52100 bearing steel. Both are heat treated and hard chrome finished for improved strength and corrosion resistance. A heavy duty injection molded Teflon impregnated Nylon race is used between the two components to allow for smooth and precise ball movement. Finally, the entire heim joint assembly (housing, ball, and race) are cryogenically treated to realign their internal molecular structures for added hardness, durability, and wear resistance. Not only does this unique and complex manufacturing process make these joints tougher, it more than doubles their effective lifespan.

These 1-1/4" heim joints are prefect for lower control arms and lower 4-link bars on most small to mid-size Jeeps, truck, and buggies. They can also be used on steering linkages, however, tie rod ends are better suited for those applications. Cryogenic Treatment Explained:



Depending on your intended application, you may want to consider adding high misalignment spacers. weld-in tube ends, and jam nuts to your order. Our stainless steel high misalignment spacers have an overall width of 2-5/8" inches to work with industry standard brackets, they allow for up to 34 degrees of misalignment and are available for 5/8" and 3/4" bolts. Weld-in tube ends are available for 1-1/2" ID tubing and are perfect for custom suspension links, control arm, and track bars. Finally, we offer heavy duty cadmium plated jam nuts to lock your heim joints in place and prevent them from coming loose.

Note: Heim joints are for off-road use only. Tube ends must be installed by a professional welder.
