King 2.5 Performance Race Series Coil Over Shocks are the industry standard for off-road racers and rock crawlers alike. They can be valved and tuned for any vehicle from a rock crawling buggy, to a weekend wheeling jeep, to a purpose built off-roading buggy, or especially a desert racer or prerunner. The size of the 2.5 shock is enough to handle most medium to large size vehicles with easy, and selecting the right spring rate is easy with options up to 800 lbs per inch. Standard Sizes and Options
Available in shock stroke lengths from from 6 to 18 inches, these shocks can be purchased as emulsion shocks or with a remote or piggyback reservoir. The shocks come with dual rate coil-carrier hardware, that can be upgraded to a triple rate carrier, and coil springs are an affordable add-on in the build menu above. Coil spring rates range from 100 to 800 lbs per inch, and a 90 lb keeper spring is available for triple rate arrangement. De-valving the shock is a no cost option for those who wish to run they coil overs as coil carriers.

Custom Built and Valved by King Racing
King coil over shocks don't spend much time on a warehouse shelf because they are all custom built-to-order by a King Racing technician. Filthy Motorsports, as a free service to its customers, submits every shock order to King Racing as a custom shock. This means that your coil over shocks will be hand-built to your specs by the people that build the race shocks found on trophy trucks. Best of all, this service only adds a few days to your shipping time.

Selecting Shock Valving and Spring Rates
Choosing the right spring rates and shock valving is critical to making sure that your King shocks make your vehicle perform at its best. The good news, is that you've come to the right place. Filthy Motorsports has a close relationship with King Racing that allows us to consult with their technicians and determine the right valving for your shocks. In order for us to help you, we need to know as much as possible about your vehicle and driving style as possible. For this reason, we've added a "Shock Details" text box to the build menu above. Don't be shy, it's impossible to give us too much information and every detail can help. It should be obvious at this point - we take shock valving and spring rates as seriously as King Racing does because it's all about getting you the perfect set of coil over shocks.

Servicing, Tuning, and Rebuilding
Your coil over shocks are fine tuned machines and although they are built to take some serious off-road racing abuse, they will eventually require some maintenance if you treat them like most of our customers do. Again, Filthy Motorsports is there to help, we offer all of the King replacement parts you need to service, tune, and rebuild your coil overs. By design, King shocks can easily be serviced with simple hand tools so it is something you could do yourself, or if you prefer, you can bring (or send) us your shocks and we'll service them in one business day.
