King 2.5 Performance Race Series Shocks are more than enough shock for most people, but for Filthy Motorsports customers they are simply the benchmark. By far our most popular and best selling shock absorber, the 2.5 smoothie is a great choice for Jeeps, trucks, SUVs, rock crawlers, and prerunners. With a large list of standard options and upgrades, we can get you a shock that will make your vehicle handle better than you could ever have imagined.

Standard Sizes and Options
This shock comes standard as an emulsion shock in lengths from 6 to 14 inches. Longer, 16 and 18 inch shafts are available, as are remote and piggyback reservoirs. Custom valving, rubber bump stop, and a welded loop rod end are all free options for this model of shock, while numerous other bells and whistles can be added for an additional fee.

Custom Built and Valved by King Racing
One of the main reasons why this particular shock is so popular is because it will be custom built and valved by a King Racing technician to your exact needs. These are not your standard over-the-counter shock absorbers, Filthy Motorsports works hand-in-hand with the King Racing crew on every order to get you the perfect shocks for your vehicle. Custom shock valving is a free service offered to our customers and it only adds a few days to your delivery date.

Selecting Shock Valving
Proper valving is the key to a great performing shock and there is no one better to help you get the right setup than Filthy Motorsports and King Racing. The first step is for you to provide us with as much information as you can possibly think of about your application by listing it in the "Shock Details" text box above. Once received, we will review your order and contact you if we feel that we need any additional information. Finally, we will consult with our good friends over at King Racing to decide on the best valving for you before the build sheet goes to a shock tech for assembly. Our primary objective here is to get you the best possible shock absorber for your specific needs.

Servicing, Tuning, and Rebuilding
All King shocks, including these 2.5 smoothies, are completely rebuildable, serviceable, and tunable with a set of basic hand tools. We've even rebuilt and tuned a set of King shocks in the bed of a pickup truck before. Everything you need to maintain and valve these shocks yourself is available from Filthy Motorsports, or if you prefer, you can bring (or send) your shocks to us and we'll service them for you in one business day.
