Description

Part Numbers

ARB Air Lockers use a pneumatically controlled locking mechanism to switch between an open carrier and a fully locked differential. Once installed, all it takes is the simple flick of a switch to go from an open carrier that works well on the street to a locked differential that provides 100% traction off-road. Each locker is designed and built to be the strongest element of the axle assembly meaning that it will be the last thing to break and will likely last the life of the vehicle. The unit is machined from a solid piece of nodular iron and encases 4 pinion gears (twice as many as OEM differentials) designed with unique geometry that make them up to 30% stronger than OEM gears. The side gears that transfer force to the axle shafts are made from the highest grade nickel alloy steel and are finished with an aerospace grade surface treatment. ARB's proprietary timed locking system prevents gear grinding during engagement and extends the life of the unit.

Included with each air locker is everything you need for an easy and complete locker installation. This includes switches, solenoids, fittings, nylon air line, and even shims and bearings (where applicable). An ARB Air Compressor, not included, is needed for the air locker(s) to operate and can be purchased separately through Filthy Motorsports. One ARB air compressor can operate up to two air lockers and includes fittings to attach an air hose for tire inflation.

All of the currently available ARB lockers are listed according to the vehicle(s) for which they are compatible. Simply find your vehicle in the list and locate the ARB part number in the far right column. Aftermarket Dana 44 gears with ratios 4.56 and higher will need locker model RD116. Third members from pre 2000 non-LSD models can be swapped for use with locker model RD85. International vehicles may vary from the information listed in this table.
