Kings 2.5 Air Bypass Shocks are the ultimate all-in-one suspension components for light weight vehicles and buggies. They combine the infinite spring rate adjustability of a nitrogen "air" spring with the multi-zone dampening control of a 3 (or more) tube bypass shock. Ride height is fully adjustable between 50 and 500psi and each air shock can support up to 1,200 lbs. Multiple bypass tubes mounted to the outside of the shock body are also adjustable and allow for position sensitive compression and rebound dampening control. The internal piston valves of the air spring are a third layer of tuning that sets the default compression and rebound rate of the shock.

Standard Sizes and Options
King's Air Bypass Shocks are only available in a 2.5 shock body and encompass a 1.625" diameter shock shaft that is gun drilled (hollow) for weight savings. Shaft travel ranges from 12 to 18 inches and the base model includes a piggyback reservoir and 3 bypass tubes. Additional bypass tubes can be installed for those who need additional adjustment zones and the shock can even be valved as a bump stop if mounted as a secondary spring.

Custom Built and Valved by King Racing
King shocks do not spend time on a shelf waiting to be bought by a customer. Every shock order goes to King Racing as a build sheet where a highly trained shock technician builds and valves each shock to the customers exact specifications. Best of all, this is a free service offered by Filthy Motorsports and it only adds a few days to your shipping time.

Selecting Shock Valving
Correct valving is so critical to a shock absorber that it is more important than all the high-tech machining that goes into building one. A shock absorber with the wrong valving is as good as dead weight, and for that reason, we need to know as much as possible about the intended use of your shocks so we can work directly with King to get your shocks valved perfectly. We've added a "Shock Details" text box to the build menu above so you can tell us about your application. Don't be shy, the more information the better, and you can even email us a photo if you want. If, after reviewing your order, we feel that additional information is needed to select your shocks valving, we will be sure to contact you for the missing information. Our goal is to get your shocks valved perfectly the first time.

Servicing, Tuning, and Rebuilding
Even the best shocks will eventually wear out. Luckily, King planned ahead and designed their shocks to be easily maintained with the simplest of hand tools. Filthy Motorsports offers all the replacement parts you need to do the job yourself, or bring by (or send us) your shocks and we'll get them serviced the same day.
