Mickey Thompson MTZ tires are built tough and aggressive to handle severe off-road abuse and utilize an advanced radial construction to give them high mileage tread life and a smooth ride. For increased puncture resistance, high performance handling, and respectable towing capabilities, Mickey Thompson incorporated heavy duty Power Ply sidewalls with an additional angled third ply and extra durable rubber compound. The tread pattern uses super aggressive tread lugs with sharp angles and wide voids for maximum off-road grip and self cleaning action in mud and snow. Siping on each lug improves wet traction while allowing the large lugs to flex for better surface contact and tread wear. Deep shoulder lugs provide additional grip in soft terrain while the Enhanced Sidebiter sidewall tread improves side traction for digging out of ruts and protects the sidewall from scuffs and tears. For those that demand even more toughness, durability, and performance out of their mud terrain tires, Mickey Thompson offers the MTZ in several SLT models that include 3 ply Power Ply sidewalls and 6 tread plies.
