SCS Gearbox Quick Change 4x4 Transfer Cases
are engineered, machined, and built to handle the most severe off-road racing abuse with ease and have had no gearing or shaft failures in over 15 years. Their aluminum or lightweight magnesium cases are precision machined for maximum strength and feature a quick change upper section for fast and easy gear changes. While they are built to handle high horsepower monster trucks, mud trucks, and sled pullers, they work just as well in large rock crawlers and buggies.
SCS Drop Style Transfer Cases
use two gear sets that work together to create your overall gear ratio. The pre-installed lower gear set offers a 1.30:1 overdrive ratio that can be inverted to a 4.70:1 (7.80:1 in the Ultimate Drop model) underdrive ratio. The upper quick-change gear sets are available in your choice of over 60 different ratios up to 1.677:1 or down to 0.600:1 and can also be inverted to offer high and low gearing. To calculate your overall gear ratio, simply multiply the two together or contact us for assistance. Additional lower gear sets are also available via special order.
A heavy duty bolt-on front drive shaft disconnect with neutral indicator switch is available for applications where switching between 2WD and 4x4 is needed. Additionally, a bolt-on counter rotation adapter is also available for rear engine vehicles. This unique modular all-gear design, combined with over 60 different quick change gear sets makes the SCS Quick Change Drop Case the strongest and most versatile off-road transfer case on the market today.
