Atlas Transfer Case Image Advance Adapters Atlas 2 and 4 Speed Transfer cases are one of the best upgrades you can do to improve the durability, reliability, and performance of your Jeep JK or JK Unlimited. They are rated to handle oversize tires, increased horsepower, larger axles, and severe off-road abuse. All Atlas transfer cases are custom built to order by Advance Adapters to fit your exact application and bolt-up to your factory transmission.

  • 2 and 4 speed cases available.
  • JK specific console mounted HD shifters included.
  • JK computer control module included (works with factory dash).
  • Oil level sight tube included.
  • 1310 / 1350 dual drilled flange yokes standard.
  • Clockable to achieve ideal front drive shaft angles.
  • Aftermarket drive shafts are required.

Option 1: Transfer Case Speeds and Gear Ratio

Atlas Transfer Cases are available in 2-speed and 4-speed configurations. 2-speed cases are great for most applications while the 4-speed case offers ultra-low 8.16:1 and 10.34:1 ratios for super technical rock crawling at idle. The factory JK NP241 transfer case has a low range ratio of 2.72:1 which works well for the factory 32" tires. For aftermarket tires and re-geared axles, Filthy Motorsports recommends the 3.8:1 2-speed case or the 10.34:1 4-speed case configurations. All cases have a 1:1 high range ratio for daily driving.

Case Gear 1 Gear 2 Gear 3 Gear 4

2-Speed 1.00:1 2.11:1

2-Speed 1.00:1 3.00:1

2-Speed 1.00:1 3.80:1

2-Speed 1.00:1 5.00:1

4-Speed* 1.00:1 2.11:1 2.72:1 5.44:1
4-Speed* 1.00:1 2.72:1 3.00:1 8.16:1
4-Speed* 1.00:1 2.72:1 3.80:1 10.34:1

*4 Speed Atlas cases not available for '12-17 Auto Trans. JKs due to computer control issues.
*4 Speed Atlas cases are not recommended for JKs that are flat-towed.

Option 2: Transfer Case Tailhousings and Speedometers

Atlas transfer cases are available with two different tailhousings for the Jeep JK and JKU. The standard tailhousing is recommended for most applications, while the short tailhousing works best for 2-door JKs with steep drive shaft angles and limited street use.

Standard tailhousing image
Standard 32 Spline Atlas Tailhousing with Speedometer
The standard Atlas transfer case comes with a rear tailhousing that accepts an '87 and newer Jeep speedometer or the Atlas mechanical speedometer and allows you to calibrate your speedometer for tire and gearing changes.

**Recommended for all street driven JKs. The standard tailhousing uses larger bearings that hold up to extended street use better than the short tailhousing.
Short tailhousing image
Short 32 Spline Tailhousing (No Speedometer)
For rock crawlers, smaller vehicles, or rear engine applications where space is tight and speedometers are not needed, the Atlas shorter tailhousing is the perfect choice. It has no speedometer input to save space and is 2 inches shorter than the standard tailhousing.

Option 3: Transfer Case Input Shaft and Transmission Adapters

Atlas 2-speed and 4-speed transfer cases are built to bolt up directly to your factory JK and JKU manual or automatic transmission and include a computer control module to work with your factory gauges and switches.

Make Model Type Speeds Years Adapter Input Shaft
Jeep NSG370 Manual 5 Speed 2007-2017 None (OEM) 23 Spline
Jeep 42RLE Auto 4 Speed 2007-2011 None (OEM) 23 Spline (Short)
Jeep 5-45RFE Auto 4 Speed 2007-2010 None (OEM) 23 Spline (Long)
Jeep W5 A580 Auto 5 Speed 2011-2017 None (OEM) 26 Spline

Option 4: Transfer Case Front and Rear Yokes

There are a variety of yokes to choose from when ordering your Atlas transfer case including CV and non-cv yokes and flat flange styles for 1310 or 1350 series u-joints. For most JK and JKU applications Filthy Motorsports recommends 1300 series flat flanges for use with 1310 or 1350 u-joint companion flanges. (OE JK flanges are not available, aftermarket driveshafts are required.)

1300/1350 Flange Double drilled flat flanges to accept 1310 and 1350 u-joint companion flanges.
1310 U-Joint Yoke 1310 U-Joints are recommended for 33-35" tires under mild use.
1350 U-Joint Yoke 1350 U-Joints are recommended for aggressive use and/or tires over 35".

5 of 5 This thing is great! September 30, 2019
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Moab, Utah
The Atlas has been installed for 6 months and I’m now spending nearly all of my off-road time in 2wd/low, which is exactly why I wanted it. This makes the JKU so much more nimble. Thanks again for your help with the whole process.

Reviewer: Nathan from Las Vegas, NV
The Atlas case installed perfectly and included everything I needed for the install into my JK. The driveshafts showed up 3 days after I provided the measurements and also fit perfectly. I could not be happier with this order, thank you Ben and Ricardo!
