Shock Shaft Soft Jaws are made of heavy duty plastic and designed to hold a shock shaft (rod) during service. The heavy duty design allows for enough grip strength to even remove most rod ends when used correctly.

These soft jaws are designed to be an economical tool for the average person and limited use, however, we have been using them in our shop and found that, with proper care, they have held up as good as the significantly more expensive billet aluminum jaws we normally use.

**We highly recommend using 1/4" steel backing plates for service work. Sold separately.**

**For maximum grip, lightly sand surfaces and apply hot glue between the soft jaws and shock shaft.**
